PDA for Therapists: School and Clinic Supports and Goal Writing

July 29, 2026 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This one's for neurodiversity affirming therapists caught between their ethics and the school’s behavior plan...

New Course! PDA for Therapists: School and Clinic Supports and Goal Writing

You recognize that your PDA learner’s distress is being driven by demands, uncertainty, sensory overload, or loss of control.

But the team is asking for a behavior intervention plan.

The FBA focuses only on what happened before and after the “behavior.” The goals reward compliance. Breaks are withheld until work is completed. And the neurodiversity affirming therapist who raises concerns is asked, “What do you suggest instead?”

This training is designed to answer that question.

You will learn how to translate PDA neurodiversity affirming care into concrete goals, accommodations, functional assessment, data collection, trauma informed de-escalation protocols, and advocacy language that school and clinical teams can implement.
